What temperature and pressure should oil be in a valver....

Wired up some gauges, just wondering what the ideal oil temperture and oil pressure is?? anyone know?

When fully warmed up 3000rpm should be 3 bar in 3rd gear

There are other combinations of pressure but all the 3's is the only one I can remember

Temperature will be about 100 at legal motorway speeds a shade higher at 80mph plus

Round town the temp will be approx 70 ish when warm

On idle, my oil temp is at 100 on the guage, and my pressure is at 1 bar. That's when the car has warmed up though. When i first start the oil pressure is right near the top of the guage and gradually drops down. As you know though, my engine runs slightly warmer than yours so your oil temp will probably be slightly lower.

did you wire up the standard 16v gauges? or aftermarket ones? i need to do the same on my one!

Im wiring up some after market auto gauge ones. Got a sandwhich plate thats screws in behind the oil filter, then tapped the sender units off them! What a b*****d it was to get in!!! Engine is gonna be in bits next week so will get it all finished!

When mines fully warmed up its 0 bar at idle :S
