Heh! :D

I have a Concept 300 on my 1.2.. few people have a Toad on their cars.

Cheers lads, been on the Tinternet this afty and found a few garages doing the Toad Ai606 fitted for just wisker under £250.

If i can get my local garage to fit it at that price as well. Sorted.

Just be careful, you do need to make sure these peopel know what they are doing, ive found the concept 300 fitted for almost £50 less then my local place, butthey ahve fitted alarms for my mates, they are a a small compnay and know exactly what they are talking about.

Try GAP security, they are a well renound company

Gap security may be well renowned but they are the biggest bunch of hard selling major pushing rip off merchants going!

Quoted me £550 for a concept 300 and then wanted an additional £400 for the intellistart. When I said I could get it cheaper elsewhere they said I must be lying and taking the piss to try and get them to match it!!!

"thats just my opinion!!!" other opinions may well exist and i rightfully respect that! :)

having moved over from owning a pug, after my experiences and quite a few other people on http://www.pgac.co.ukwww.pgac.co.uk i can only recommend you staying well clear of GAP, im sure there are some people who have had good service but their are too many who have had bad service, bad installtion, been lied to etc

I have heard bad things about GAP too. I have not dealt with them personally but it is possible that they are bad.

I have the Clifford with the Perimiter protection.

Where was yours fitted?

..although saying that the first bloke i spoke to, because i wasnt gonne get ity fitted within 3 weeks basically told me to f**k off. They really werent helpfull atall, i think i would rather pay the extra and go to a decent company that is gonna be there if anything goes wrong

yeh dont use gap security, i had a clifford 600 fitted by them a couple of years ago, they were way overpriced, didnt bother fitting up some of the bits (i.e headlight on function), he left bolts undone, lost my battery lead cover, burnt numerous holes in my carpet with solder, and to top it all of the alarm never worked 100%, i was well pissed but when i complained i got absolutely nowhere, and the bloke who fitted it said he was the boss ??

f**king awfull company with no idea how to treat customers.

I have a clifford concept 600 with intelistart and the nice flashing super bright blue led and the flashing clifford stickers on each quarter. I have had toad before too, both very good. I like the clifford because of all the extra features and so far very realiable. Would say that dont think the new range is gonna be all that trick, the company is now direct audio if i have my facts right. And lots of people are concerned over the build quality of the new alarm. The installer who fitted mine stated that i made the right choice going with the older one as in his opinion he rated it over the new one. He had no vested interest either so I took it as a fair comment. The only thing with the older alarm is the key fobs, anyone who has had the concept remotes can tell you, they can be a bit funny if dropped. I had to get a chuck of plastic removed from my remote as it was shorting the battery connection so sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldnt.

can the toad perimeter sensor be added to the standard 182 alarm without adding the full alarm?

DO NOT TOUCH GAP SECURITY WITH A VERY LONG BARGEPOLE - BIGGEST BUNCH OF SCUMBAGS IVE EVER HAD THE DIS-PLEASURE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH!!!

Long story, but I almost took them to court over something with my old car and I reported them to Trading Standards (and almost them to local CID for fraud). I know this sounds exagerated, but trust me, stay away from them. If anyone wants to know the details PM me or Ill post them later or something as Im popping down the shops now.
