Needing tyres for the 197 and having a look these are the tyres I have used and been happy with but is there a big jump from the PS4 to the PS5
Is there any difference between the Rainsport3 and the Rainsport5 ?

These are for standard driving with no track use.

What’s the thoughts ?

OEM tyres were 215/45/17 - are they any cheaper or do you specifically want 225's?

I know they are ment to be 215 but alot of 197/200s run the 225 and it what was on the car and the 215 / 45 / 17 is more expensive than the 225 looking at CamSkill

I ran Rainsport 5's on my 197. They were the 225 and they did catch a little bit on the inner arches at full lock, but other than that they were fine. If you plan to do a fair bit of fast driving on the road I'd definitely go for the PS4/5's, but if you're just tootling around then the Rainsports are a great all-rounder for the money.

So I went with the Rainsport 5s for £280 delivered.

My only issue with the Pilot Sports is that they wear quickly and the price, If I could have found them slightly cheaper I would have got them.
I know you pay for what you get and the uniroyal / hankook are more than enough for what I need so I bought the RainSport 5s

I by no means would have put a £39 tyre on my car but then again I cant justify spending £100/110 a tyre for what I do.
