Facts are... it's quicker round a track than a focus rs.
If a little underpowered in the straights.

DC2R.

Same price as a Ph1 172 nowadays. You already have a race-bred engine and LSD too. You can cane it day in, day out... and it'll thank you for it.

No brainer.

£3k will get you into a track-ready car. I saw a '96 JDM go for £2.5k over on PH last month! 90k miles.

Easily worth the extra £500-£1000 over a Ph1!

If money was no object CSR or Radical plz...Or is a JDM Civic better weeguy? I-m sure you'll have some rationale.

Jesus. I bet your wallpaper is a honda isn't it! Radical and CSR are mentioned and you go for a sodding Honda FFS!

  Mk4 .:R32
on a low ish budget, a stripped out 206 GTI mi16 with TBs
if not, then as AR said, a 197 with coilies, TBs, exhaust etc

I'm talking about the new one.

If i was being old skool, i'd have a JPE. Just for the noise!

JPE....Sure you don't mean JPS? Or we on a diff tracks here. Old boy had one 78' i think.

CSR is a road car/track car....I.e you don't need to wear a helmet to drive it!

Caterham 7 JPE, running a 250bhp Vauxhall C20XE engine. Set the record for quickest production 0-60 in 1992, 3.9s, IIRC.

how much do the 'ordinary' Caterhams go for? must be able to get something interesting for 182 money? or an Elise. wouldn't buy a saloon car if it were a primarily a plaything anyway

i'd love a R300 - you'd have some sort of chance of controlling it, whereas the R500 strikes me as a bit of a hero/nutter car. the idea of pranging one just doesn't bear imagining either - it's like being sat in a bath tub:dead:

  williams and trophy
granted. but then there is a fukkin massive price diff. sub 5 grand...ud be hard pushed to beat the williams tbh.
