basically yeah, sealant is, as the name suggests, a product that seals/protects the paint. It also adds to the finish. You can also add wax on top of it for even better looks and protection.
IMO though, no point on a silver car as you cant get the depth of shine that you can on darker coloured cars.
Do you mean no point with a Sealent or no point sealing then wax over the top on silver?
I have just been Polishing with Megs deep crystal then Nxt gen wax over the top, but im begining to wonder if the "Off the shelf wax" is as good as some of the more specialist items?
I was going to get some Jeffs Acrilc Jet but wonder if over the winter months i would be better getting a wax, this seems to have got some very good reviews -
Waxes are mainly as the name suggests Carnauba wax with whatever else added. A sealant is man made and may contain waxes in some cases. They should be more durable than a wax but it is not always the case.
Sealants are more fussy in the fact to get the best out of them they tend to need a clean surface to bond to for best results.
No because the EGP won't bond to it, needs a clean oil free surface which is why it is ideal over the top of SRP, applied over a glaze and you will be wasting your time.
