Whats that noise

Ok, has anybody noticed this on their 172?

After braking and coming to a stop, release the foot brake (handbrake can be on or off) and there is a rapid rubbing/vibrating noise coming from the front passenger wheel. It sounds a bit like when you are on a slight slope and you partially take the handbrake off and the pads rub on the disc. However, this noise is very consistent and always lasts for the same length of time (1 second). Plus the car does not move at all for the duration of the noise.

It doesnt seem to do anything and its been into Renault, who witnessed the noise, and had the ABS and brakes taken apart but they couldnt find anything wrong.

I am really just curious if anyone knows what it is or has had the same problem, if only because it seems to be the brakes making the noise, which is slightly worrying.

Cheers.

Might be ABS self test gone wrong? Im surprised Renault didnt find anything...actually maybe Im not surprised.

sounds like 1 of the abs wheel sensor readings is incorrect/different output to the other sensors.can only be checked using diagnostic fault finding tools though.is the front brake binding slightly? or corrosion build up on the disc surface?
