Whats the easiest wax to use.

Hi there,decided its time i treated the civic to some wax recently.I gave it a good wash and chamois.
Got my old xymol wax out of the garage and s**t me.Forgot how hard it was to put on properly and take off.

Im just curious is there a halfords type of the shelf wax that is easy to put on and take off.
Years ago i used to use something called max wax and that was great stuff.

The dodo juice soft waxes are pretty easy to use imo.

If you want off the shelf halfrauds stuff then just get Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection.

Chemical guys "petes 50 paste wax" is very easy to use too. I have some of that and it's easier then collinite 476 and dodo juice blue velvet.

I find myself switching between the chemical guys and nattys blue paste wax.

^^As said above if you want something quick and easy...you just apply it to a wet car, wipe it down, then use another cloth to finish it off...doesn't last long, just does the trick.

I'd say best cheap wax under £20 is colli 476s! Great wax, great durability & piss easy to use!

Can't go wrong with Collinite for ease of use and durability. Swissvax Best Of Show is the nicest i've used, very easy on & off and smells so nice ya just want to eat it!!

For proper speed and ease of use a spray sealant is the way forward. I use Jeffs Werkstatt over the winter months.

I wouldnt say colli is easy either...was a right git to get off my mums car when I did some winter prep for her...only left it on about 5 minutes as was chatting to my old man and it was a mission and a half to get off.

Wax's are hard to take off if they've been left on too long, this is especially true if applied in direct sunlight.

I work on the principal of applying to one panel, leave wax on for the time it takes me to apply to the next panel, then remove wax from prev panel, apply to next, remove from prev and so on...

Using a quick detailer to mist over the panel as you're removing helps as well.

Out of the ones i have used and currently own....

FK, 476s, Purple haze, Supernatural, z carbon, z glasur, best of show, to name a few.

Best of show is the best to use. Glasur is next al though like all zymol waxes, they are a pig to remove.

remember wax doesnt do anything for the look,s its down to the prep work that does this, clay, polish and cleanse,

wax just protect all you hard work!

ive used fk1000p and very easy to use, just have to follow the instructions to the T.

im getting some Megs #16 soon so will test that out.

Colli is good, however IMO its a pain to remove. Easiest wax I have used is Dodo Juice banana armour. Goes on like a dream and comes off proper easy. Smells awesome too!

P21s or rebranded as R222 is pretty easy, even if you overshoot onto black plastics _ It won't stain.
The general rule is - the easiest wax to play with and apply etc, the lower the durability.

Best balance between ease of use and durability, for sensible money is Collinite 845. Or, if you have some wedge, any of the Swissvax's.

For a better spray wax, look at Optimum Car Wax (V2) or something like Zaino Z8 (spray sealant)

dodo juice rainforest rub for me! apply to the whole car and by the time your done you can go back round removing it smells amazing aswell and my pot has lasted a year and is only halfway now, my mate borrowed it aswell and went crazy on his car! 20 coats at 1 point i think lmao
