whats this...gear box filler hole?

is that black plastic screw cap the gearbox filler hole? as there was a slight stream of oil coming out of it but i managed to tighten it another half turn so hopefully this will stop it

How much oil has it lost? If its a lot the box oil will want topping up.

well only had the car a few weeks, and i largish stain of oil is on the driveway. but its not a flood, so goin to motor factors on tuesday and get some new oil for it.

the oil shouldn't come out unless its over filled, or u been driving down hill and its very loose !
