Total s**t for the money. If you want a decent induction noise get a Pipercross and buy some flex tube from B&Q. None are reall going to give you any sort of performance gains.

is it worth going for a viper of say a normal pipercross foam filter baring in mind it is a 1.2?
thanks

will panel give you as much performance as a viper with custom air feed though?
i know its a 1.2 but im gonna spend on it anyway as i have it for at least 2years, thanks

Viper's are rubbish. It's been proven time and time again. 1.2 will not see a gain with any mods really. Just a look more noise.

Spend the cash on slags mate, no performance to be made either way, flex tube is an air feed, but not at Max Power £££ (metal tubing)

Complelty disagree with the Viper being s**t quote. Absolutely no noticeable difference in performance what so ever over that of the best IK, a Maxogen.

As for the topic, your never gonna get any worth while gains on a 1.2 so if its the noise your after just get a open ended K&N IK or something.

That induction kit is a can of worms. If you want an enclosed induction kit dont get a viper as ive had one. Get a Simota induction kit.

If you want an open induction kit for sound then go for the K&N 57i Gen 2.

Eh? in english?

They are rubbish! You'll lose power. The fitment is s**t, They float about th feeds are crap and don't fit. You have to bent and modify bits. I fitted one on alan's it took me over an hr to get it fitted to a stong and decent position...He kept it for about....4hrs!!!

You'll lose power with anything if you dont get it set up right with a decent cold feed and appropriate mapping.

I came off the back of a Viper to a Maxogen and there's bugger all difference in performance, well, any that i noticed and the car was set up with each kit!

Maxogen quality is second to non but in terms of the performance difference there aint no ''WOW''
factor

It all comes down to personal preference at the end of the day

Makes me laugh when folk think they can tell a difference between 5 bhp loss or a 5 bhp gain. Not a chance in hell you can
