As title really, can anyone tell me what this block is on the +ve power cable?

Looks like a terminal to connect to the battery

It is the positive terminal for the battery yes, but whats the plastic looking block part all about?

it's a fuse

I wondered if that's what it was but wasn't 100% as it doesn't look replaceable.

I'm relocating the battery and didn't want to cut it off to shorten the cable to find out it was something important.
