wheel and tyre packages - which tyres?

  Clio 172
There are a number of deals around at the moment on wheels and tyres, but which are the better tyres. I appreciate that none of these are probably top notch rubber:

yokohama parada
yokohama A539
Toyo Proxes T1R
Kumho (ha ha) SPT KU31
Falken ZE-512
Falken FK 451
Hancook ???

These tyres are dangerous (a539 that is especially in this weather they will make you car a death trap)....!

1. yokohama parada
2. Toyo Proxes T1R
3. Falken ZE-512
4. Falken FK 451
5. Kumho (ha ha) SPT KU31
6. yokohama A539

Remember budget tyres + budget performance. Get PE2 or GSD3 (all weather) or R888 if you are doing track days etc..(road leagal).

i would go with A539's personally

They are crap, if you have to go with one from the list the then the Paradas get good reviews.

I'd say A539's too.

The Falken 451's can't be all bad either...a couple of the marshalls at a recent trackday compete in the Castle Combe Saloon Car Championship...and they run on, and recommend them.

falken ze512s good grip in the wet?? what were you doing? driving at 2mph everywhere??

theyre lethal in the wet and arent too good in the dry!

the ONLY decent thign about falken ze512s is that they have a really curvy sidewall so you can fit 17s on small hatchs and slam it.
