Wheel bearing trouble!

Evening all,

Does anywhere sell uprated wheel bearings?

I keep busting them on my 172 track car. It does have a hard suspencion set up and it takes a LOT of abuse.

The latest set of bearings have lasted about 1000 very hard miles.

Any ideas on how to stop it happening?

Cheers

What's your spacer/wheels set up too?

Are they genuine bearings too?

Might be worth replacing the front hubs as a whole if you've had a few bearings pushed through them.

It's front and rear i'm breaking.

No spacers on rear (hub shims instead)
25mm on front which i know will increase the load on the bearing, but i didn't think that much!

All bearings were genuine

I've got a couple of spare hubs from a doner car, i'll fit them tomorrow and hopefully that will reduce the problem.

Do the hubs wear and cause bearings to fail early then?

Cheers everyone

I'll check that tomorrow then, maybe I fucked up!
I do have a torque wrench, but I can't remember what I set it to when I change them.

Cheers for the figures!
