Wheel bearings

  Megane 225 F1
A few questions. Basically I had 2 fucked wheel bearings on the rear, so replaced with genuine renault discs with bearings already pressed in etc (From Renault on trade). This was back in March I think.

I have recently got a really bad droning noise coming from the rear of my car that happens when I speed up etc.

1. Is it the wheels bearings again?
2. What causes bearings to go?
3. If it's just the one wheel bearing that is gone, do you only need to replace one, or do you need to replace both?

I also get a squeal at slow speeds coming from the fronts. I don't think this is pads and someone on here said maybe it's the front wheel bearings. Are these a pain in the ass to change?

Wheel bearings can suck my dong.

1. droning noise could also be the tires!?
2. did you reassemble the little spacer/washer thing behind the brake disc on the stub axle?
3. I wouldn´t exchange the bearing itself, should be cheaper using complete aftermarket discs with rings and bearings. Obviously replace both.

There's no way I'm just going to chuck nearly brand new discs away!

Yh the spacer was put behind the disc.

Any one shed some light on why my wheel bearings seem to be going?

The spacer washer thingy has to be put in the right way round, not questioning your mats ability, but can be an easy mistake to make.

All fixed. Poped to the local garage to ask their opinion. Told me fucked bearing. Got it all done under parts warranty with Renault. It had split open apparently

Very lucky to be covered under warranty. Didn't fancy splashing out for new bearings and labour.
