Wheel Colour - Black or Black?

  Ph2 172 Cup
I'm going to respray my wheels in black, but I'm not sure what colour black to go for?

I can't decide if gloss black with laquer will tool too 'glossy' or whether some kind of satin or metallic black might look nicer.

Anyone got any pics to help me decide?

It's for trackday wheels so I don't want to be cleaning off brake dust. going for the R26R look....

  A Flamin' Red one
Spray them in flame red then.

I love having the best of both worlds ;)

Satin black looks crap if youve got wide spoked alloys (like the 182 alloys).
Matt black on turini like alloys might look quite good though!

I'd thought that the team dynamics finish looked a bit too glossy (still nice!). Loving the flamer with the black wheels - exactly the look I'm going for, except blue car!

I wouldnt worry about the 'glossyness' of the alloys. I too was a bit worried that my refurbed alloys were going to be gloss, I htought it would look s**t tbh!

I was wrong! I think they look great!

Heres mine in the refurbed dark grey:

^Hmmm it depends. At the south Wales karting meet I saw the RB 182 with gloss back alloys and it looked really smart!

I think matt black would look much worse, I spoke to the guy who did my alloys and he strongly advised against doing my alloys in matt black, he said he did some before and they looked gash!

no fan of black wheels personally tbh
if you're gonna have them black then why have alloys at all?
can see your point re brake dust on track use.

just my opinion tho :)
