Wheel Offset

Can you fit a set of alloy wheels with an offset of 35 onto a car that has steel wheels with an offset of 42.

Well, yes you can, but the wheela will stick out 7mm more on each side, so if you want to lower it later you may get some rubbing on the wheel arch.
