What sort of price (on average) is an alloy wheel refurb and what is the waiting time?

I want mine refurbed, just black again and was wondering what sort of price this process costs?

Cheers

Getting mine done through Midlands Car Care tomorrow for £200. They are also based in Birmingham.

If you find your nearest 'The Wheel Specialist' they are generally regarded as good but not the cheapest.

All seem to be based up north mate - the closest would be the same as the one you're going too, wolves I'm assuming!

Do it fella, work is spot on! Always very happy, and even aesthetically challenged wheels I have given them have come back like new!

Have you got a photo at all of any of their work they've done for you mate?

Please bear in mind it took me years to find the Sierra wheels, and was thinkming I would sell them on again if they werent 110%, so when I got those back I was elated, they are like new!

BJV rock!

I have a few oz F1s I want doing.

Where is this place matey?

Like you am megga fussy, its never been about how cheap I can get them done.

Spit and Polish did the set that's on my car, one wheel went back 3 time's even after I told them that they must be done right.

In the end I gave up, ive bought more now that ill get done.

Tidy mate - will give them a shout! Now I just need to find a temp set of wheels to stick on my 197!

Just get the paint ordered Craig and give it to Wheel specialist etc. Easiest way!

Ahh really, i though they were all over the place! Worth noting that they will get them done the same day if you drop them off first thing, so you could always make a day of it.

Midlands Car Care actually use The Wheel Specialist in Wolverhampton, but if you go through MCC it's a lot cheaper than going direct. As above, I am paying £200 all in for 16" wheels, but when i've used them in the past and gone direct i've paid well over £300.

Work is always to a good quality IME.

Prestine wheels is the place to go my mates very particular an anal about his car they did his wheels for him an he was happy with them they basically come back like a new set of wheels in fancy boxes etc
They also do a courier service if your not local which is a good idea

When I got my wheel's back from Spit & Polish they where dry in the corners of the spokes, dry where the bolts go and bits of crap in the coating.

PaintIt in billericay.. very good write ups and a few of my mates have had some work done by them which looks like top work!

BJV also did my old staggered Porsche D90's.

Powder coat in high pearl silver inside and out and then every possible face including inner and out lips etc Diamond Cut

Was that your Polo?

Looks like it could have been my old one. Was it a categorized vehicle? I know the guy who bought it off me, wrote it off before he could legally drive it.

I get mine done for between 1 and 2 pounds an inch depending on the colour, cheaper up north I suppose!

It was a few years + ago, bought it in a doggy state completely standard, needed a full repaint etc - Y212 KDG was the registration, it's now in northern Ireland !
