I'm having the Renault Sport kit fitted to my 1.6 16v Dynamique this week, already got Speedline Turinis fitted with 205/45/16 Michelin pe2 tyres and I really need to know asap what size wheel spacers I need for the front and rear so they look inline with the new wider arches?

Thanks

dont think they will look too bad left as they are mate, but if you do go for wheel spacers i would say no more than 5mm ones, and front only.

PS. i paid up at last, lol

front and rear arches are the same though arent they if you're talking about the standard renault bodykit?

If they are Turinis from a cup im sure they are 43 offset and your car standard wheels should be 36 or 37 so the wheels are already in a little, do you get rubbing at the rear with 205s? I would go for 5mm if it doesnt look right with the bodykit.

from seeing your car i would say just the fronts. the rears looked ok, and the 5mm at the fronts will just bring them out to fill the new arches nicely.

No they look alright mate, they dont rub either with the dynamique kit. Just a bit worried about when the sport kit goes on as I saw this photo on here a while ago where the back looked ok but the front wheels looked in too much.

umm, i think theres some confusion as to what kit is being fitted.

are you having the Sport kit fitted, which doesnt require new arches front and rear.

or, RenaultSport kit fitted, which includes the front arches?

The again you could be having the V6 kit of the Super 1600 kit which include front and rear arches!

No Im having the mk2 172 kit which consists of front and rear bumpers, 2 front wings, 2 side skirts, rear arch liners and cup spoiler.

right then, you shouldn't 'need' spacers at all (i don't use them) but if you want bigger brakes, or just to perfect the look, go for 5mm up front.

The wheel will sink right in at the front !!!

Austin hasthe kit on his car and he needs 35-40mm spacers (also longer bolts) just to make it look right.

Doesnt he have 182 wheels though which are ET 45, unlike the turninis 38. Still a lot though.

Yes that will be what you need roughly, will be easier to check when you have the kit on....

U need the longer wheel bolts!!

The only thing u will notice is that it puts more wear on things such as the wheel bearings.

Yes the eibach spacers are good.... hub centric too

for that sort of spacing ur looking at well into £150+ for just a pair tho.

The Eibach spacers are really good quality.

But sadly they are expensive being Hub Centric.

I paid approx £45 for only 5mm spacers.

When i last checked with Demon Tweeks they did say the Eibach ones reach into the £200 mark when that big and with the longer wheel bolts.

Probably find them cheaper online, but make sure the fitment is correct for the Clio

ive got the 172 kit on my car, i have fox eco 3 17" and its lowered 40mm at the front. it looks quite carp from the front and at the side coz the wheels look 2 far in. ive gone abd bought 19mm spacers and im now waiting for the bolts and locking wheel bolts.

actually i wonder if 19mm spacers will fit onto the hub with plenty ov room to slide the wheel on, does anybody know?
how come the eibach spacers cost that much i bought some from a local garage and they cose me a 5er each, are they different?
