Wheel/Tyre Choices

  '03 MCS, MKV Ed30
15" or 16"?

Which Tyres?

No Turinis, 2118s, Sheep wheels...

Clipped a curb today as some guy cut me up so after some aftermarket wheels for the 182.

Been looking at BBS/Lenso styles so far....

Compomotives get my vote. MO's or TH's. I had some Ronal Turbos on my ph1 which looked ok on Apex, would look better with c/overs. You really need 45s for those though so 15s but no cheap tyres.

Im on coilovers anyways :)

Yea the reason for thinking 15s is cheaper tyres but I prefer the look of the 16s in the arches so don't know :/

Those Cades Eros 15s look really good on coilovers and don't cost the earth. Gardner was selling a mint set recently, think they went on eBay though.

Yea seen them, they were on the list to look at too.

Think my best bet it to get down to Wheelbase in Manchester and put some next to the car!

Is Wheelbase in Oldham? If you're around Manchester mate, give Sheldons a try behind the Sainsbury's on Regent Rd in Salford/Manc. They're good.

Yea it is mate. My dad got his bora alloys from them in 05.

Sorted us out well.

Ill give that place a go on same day that you've mentioned.

For tyres i will highly recommend prada spec 2's, ok so im only in a 1.2 but handeling and grip is far improved from the cheapos that the previous owner had on.

Yea think I might go on them. Used to have them on my old car and they were awesome. Lasted ages too.

Most decent tyres aren't brilliant in the wet?

Anyways, this is for choices of Wheels thread. The tyres part is what size tyres to fit the the particular wheel i chose.
