Is it necessary to disconnect the battery for half hour or so before disconnecting wiring for air bags?

Sorry for a no doubt repeat question.
I couldn't find the answer after 20mins searching

If you mean the wiring for airbag into the seats then no you don't need to bother disconnecting battery mate

Just unplug them, years in the motor trade and I can safely say I have never personally disconnected a battery when doing this for the sheer fact it adds more time to the job and half the time you end up having to put sodding radio codes in afterwards haha

This, Never ever disconnected battery when working on airbags. Just don't turn the IGN on and it won't log a code. If you do turn the ign on, it'll clear once the fault has been cleared anyway.
