when fitting rear discs/bearings/pads...



  2005 Impreza WRX STI


is there any sort of specific torque settings or things i should let the lad no whos doing them. Hes a mechanic from my work but im a bit worried lol. anyone got any tips/advice/warnings? ill be there with him to supervise :pon a mk1 172

Get a copy of the Haynes manual it lists all the procedures there.

175Nm for the central nut and it should be replaced every time not refitted after being used once.

65Nm for the caliper bolts though.

90Nm for the wheel nuts.

Neither did I both times (Ive covered them in locking compound instead).



Im not sure if there Renault only. There probably about £1.50 each Im to cheap and lazy though plus Id be buying them in bulk.

I wouldnt worry to much, mine was never replaced when the shafts came out an I went ontrack days an did about 3k hard driving.
Just cover them in thread locking compound and you should be ok. Then agan is it worth risking your life for £3 worth of new nuts?
