chadils is 240 euros.
they also have some decent looking carbon airbox/trumpet configs too.....could well give the rs2 a run for less coin???

Its finding something that will fit in the really limited space that you might struggle with, the RS2 is obviously specifically designed to make use of every last bit of space they could without further sacrifice on the runner lengths etc.
On an engine dyno (ie lots of space) you could easily create something to massively outperform the RS2 for far less money, but its just having the physical space to get it in the car thats the problem.
know what your saying fella. but this is basically all the rs2 is.... mani, airbox/plenum with the t/b bolted to the end. im sure there are ways of gettin same/similar results for lots less ££
all the more reason for a trip to spa/dam/ring hehe. no shipping with a hellofalotta fun thrown in
and chip....its not something iv looked at yet. being pretty new to f4 ownership. but im pretty sure the same results can be had for a lot less outlay. off the shelf. even to drop down from the 'all hail carbon fibre' thing for a minute. and yes im damn sure better gains can be had for same/less money.
tried that. they literally dont make them until they can be bothered. one off production doesn't make them any money. Jenvey told me it took 6 months to get a vw manifold from chadil last year, and jenvey are chadils biggest supplier
We've got a car on the rs2, and there is no way with off the shelf bits you could get something else equivalent to fit in the same space.
Like I siad if you dont mind chopping up the slam panel and/or ditching the aircon then no bother, the price you are paying for the rs2 is for the level of customisation required of the components for it to fit.
as above mate. im sure off the shelf there are bits of kit that will produce the goods. it just means a little bit of detective work. the carbon airboxes off the formula reno stuff are only 600 odd euros. theres countless other companies, reverie, for example that also offer airboxes/plenums, not to mention jenvey/chadil etc etc etc. will only take a bit of work on the old pc to find others. doesnt even need to be carbon. as u know, a plenum off other cars can be adapted also. means it being alloy rather than carbon, but the price/weight argument not really worth it when taking into account the costing.
no its you who isnt listening. i know the confines of the engine, with slam panel etc. all it takes is a bit of running figures through companies, looking up on the net with the figures you need and something will pop up.
and nobody else can make anything else fit?????????
this is basically what you are saying is it not??
