Where can I find the ABS sensor?

  Roadster Coupe
My speedo has stopped working so I was gonna check the ABS sensor, does anyone know where to find it?

  BMW M135i
Theres 4, one on each wheel. Mounted on the hub behind the disc, held on by a T-30 torx bolt.

No idea i'm afraid, edde might know. Offside front comes to mind but i've got no idea where from, may use a combo of all four.

  Clio's
my mate had a problem with their speedo and was told by a garage that it was caused by the battery being detatched for so long but i dont think this is true! and i dont know how they fixed it either!

There talking rubish.

The system uses the front left wheel sensor but it does take account of the rest of the wheels.

not poo pooing what your saying edde but how does it work on a cup then as there are no sensors at all for the ABS,

i thought it was a senor in the gear box which reads from a cog in there ?

but then again im not a mechanic but its certainly not the battery thingy.

Yep theres a speedo sensor in the gearbox. Hence why you need to make sure its a cup gearbox when you need a new one.

It doesn't use ABS so has a sensor in the gearbox. All the other Mk2 speedos work off the ABS.

All the Ph2 onwards barring the cup use the ABS. But I think some of the Ph1s that predate multiplexed wiring are using speedo sensors as well.
