Where has this come from???

This fell on the floor when is was changing my gearbox engine mount.
Anyone know where it's come from?

It's one of the rubber covers that stops dirt and crap from getting in seat bolt cavities.

It's not going to be used on the road just track

It goes under the car where the seat bolts in there's 4 of them on each side, if you're lucky it'll be one next to the sill rather than near the exhaust channel, it's not really important it's just a cover that stops the bolts from getting covered in road dirt and corroding.

Looks like the camshaft blank at the gearbox side.

Best way to tell is jack the car up and have a look under it, if you're not missing a dust cap over the seat bolts, it's a camshaft blank.

It will be a old camshaft end seal that was replaced when the cam belt was changed there will be a new one in its place, you would know if there was not one fitted as there would be oil every ware.

Haha I went to put it back in and there was one there already!
It must of been an old one that was in my battery holder and it fell out when I removed it to do my mount..

You're doing better than me, I found an old screwdriver wedged down the side of my battery when I first got the car.
