Where has this nut come from?

Car  2003 Clio 172 Cup
Does anyone know where this nut has broken off from?

It fits a 21mm socket and was nestled under the bonnet on a ledge just by the drivers-side headlight on a 172 Cup.

The nut appears to have the remains of a plastic threaded screw inside it.

Thanks :)

The washer jet blanks were £45+ vat and that was about 8 or 9 years ago...so God only knows. Whereas the washer jets are about £12 or so each. Best thing I ever did was get them blended in so it was a flush finish...it looked like it should have looked from the factory.

Just to confirm that you were all correct, as it was the nut from the washer blank when I checked it out today. Seems a poor design having such a large, heavy nut on a relatively weak bit of plastic thread. Have stuck it back on now as there is no access without taking off the entire bumper.

Thanks to everyone that helped! :)
