Where is the ECU located?

Hi guys sorry I couldn't find anything regarding this by searching.

My Clio 1.2 16v 2002 has a SERV light on the dash. My dads got a plug that will tell me the faults. Before ripping stuff out I was wondering if anyone knows where I might be able to plug in the device to see what the problems are

Lift out your ash tray, your OBD2 port is under there. Your ECU is behind your battery
