where is the starter motor?

As title, I want to clean the earth as been having problems starting recently and seems it might be a good place to start.

Also is it easy to clean up the earth? Any pics welcome

Normally where the gearbox meets the engine. Starter should crank the flywheel!

On the Ph1, it's over the back of the engine, middle-ish.

Post up the symptons, and I'm sure others will give you a few suggestions..
