Where the hell can I find Michelin Pilot SX GT's.

I'm after the original equipment Michelins for my MK1 172. I have a brand new Michelin Pilot SX GT spare tyre and want to match it up. These tyres may have been superceded but I'm not giving up.

Can anyone help?

You can't buy them any more. But someone might be willing to part with a spare...

They were standard on all Mk2 172's in Australia. Awesome tyre.

What size are the tyres on the MK2?

I'm after a 195/50/15.

Did Mk2's run 16 inch wheels?

Mk2 ph1 172s (ph-quicks) run on 15s (195/50/15 I think).

Mk2 ph2 172s run on 16s (195/45/16) - except (IIRC) Australia where for some reason they came on 15s. Think it might've been something to do with the 16" Conti tyres not meeting safety standards in Australia or something, correct me if I'm wrong cos I'm probably talking pish!
