Where's the IAT?

Car  Renault Clio Mk1
Hey, can anyone help me find where the IAT is on my 1996 Mk1 Clio please, and with any pictures if you have any. Thanks a lot.

lmao, well its only a pentiometer, which, i suppose is a resistor, but it's worth a go, i mean it shouldn't work...should it...lol:S

Mate - put it this way.

Renault spend millions of pounds developing cars. Then some guy comes along selling an ECU resistor to give you lots of extra BHP. Why didn't Renault do this in the first place? Why do Renault F1 Team spend millions developing monster engines when they could buy lots of resistor chips for a fraction of the cost?

The resistor tricks the ECU into, in effect, over fueling the car by telling the ECU that the inlet air temperature is colder than it actually is. Thats about the crux of it mate. Total waste of money.

so for cars like mine that run lean, its a good thing!?
 
The Fatty - for any cars that run lean, they should be diagnosed by a certified motor mechanic and correctly setup. The use of a 20p resistor you could buy from Maplins does nothing more than trick the car. I personally would not recommend this.
