Which alarm with intellistart?

also remote start can be fitted to automatic vehicles with a park sensor but you would still be deemed a gimp

the sources are stated by thatcham and having once been an alarm fitter romote start invalidates cat 1 status, i wanted to fit one to my Escort turbo when i was a boy racer like the rest of you with remote start and was informed of the rules by our supplier. the vehicle cant be running without you being there also during running voltage sensors are innop ultrasonics are innop etc and cat 1 is out the window also its a bit max power if you havent already got it but are thinking of it do yourself a favour wait till youve grown up and you wont feel the need to the rest of the children HOPE YOU LEAVE IT IN GEAR!

lol..Great post, "the sources are stated by thatcham" :S not sure what you mean, but i will have a reply from Thatcham by Wednesday. Regardless of that, i am trying to find out why i was given a Cat 1 certificate, if indeed, intellistart voids this.

Also, you do know leaving it in gear means it wont work right? as in, intellistart wont be activated/armed?

sorry about my grammer bit early for my brain to function. i should imagine if in inhibitor switch is fitted it may pass for cat 1? been a while since i fitted alarms and remote start always invalidated cat 1 but maybe intellistart has found ways round the ruling, only thatcham has the answer

well with clifford alarms u have to push certain buttons on the remote to enable the remote start when you get out the car, to make sure you dont leave it in gear

if u have a infa red remote with factory immob u cant get remote start anyway
