Which alarm?

Hi there,

Just a quick question... i'm taking my 182 in today to get a quote for some body repair (vanalism) and thought it would be an idea to get an alarm fitted as my full fat 182 didnt come with one... (its got quite a few gadgets inside) just wondering if you guys know what system they fit to 182's standard and are they any good or what anybody can recommend...

Got to get a CAT 1 alarm (ungrage your CAT 2 alaram fitted as STD to all Clio's.iirc)

Is yours an import then?

I had a Cobra 2-1 upgrade installed on my 172 import (as they already have the immobiliser), and it cost me £200.

I think the Toad Ai606 is the full system, but a lot of people on here say it's very good.

^^ yeah, it is an import from motorpoint. It the cobra every thing apart fromt the immobiliser. I basically want a good motion sensor alarm with all the points at the doors, bonnet etc...and have it on the same renault key fob. Is this possible... just think an alarm would be useful as i have got a very good hands free kit and a hard wired road angel 2 with additional numberplate sensor and GPS antena that i really dont want nicked... thanks

i know with the toad Ai606 you cant get the controls on the same fob as the Renault key, it has its own..

^^^^ thanks.... not really wanting extra key fobs etc... went to renault to see what they would charge for their standard alarm and they wanted £400.. no thanks!! Yeah.. looking for around £200..
