iv just been onto a garage and he sed the clutch stuff is about £100-120

is he tryin to rip me off or is there more to it than just a clutch kit needed to replace a clutch?

Probs trying to rip you off, ie you can get headgasket kits of the net fairly cheap circa £50 inc head bolts... go into a motorfactors and they'll charge you £110 without the bolts!!
