Which earphones out of these?

Ok, I seriously need some new earphones as mine are literally falling apart lol

I've narrowed it down to these ones:

Sennheiser CX 300 - Look good, cheap, apparently good sound and not lacking in bass.

SkullCandy Full Metal Jacket (11mm) - Look good, not that cheap (£40 minimum from what I can see), excellent bass.

Shure E2c - always said to be one of the best you can buy, with good quality sound but a price to match.

Finances are going to dictate it's the Sennheisers I think but if you can convince me otherwise then I may splash the cash on the SkullCandys...

All recommendations and reviews much appreciated!

i've used all of them, for the sort of music i like and for what i need. i choose the skullcandy's.

although if you really need serious sound isolation go for the shures.

Cheers for the replies :)

David - what are you into? Dance stuff? I am but I'm also getting into more vocal 'guitar-type' music now so I'm not sure I want to go too mad on the bass.

McBunny - where from?! lol

I have the shures and they lack bass a wee bit, but the isolation is brilliant! and the sound quality is probably the best i have used.. Not used the others though

the skullcandys are perfect ofr dance, prodigy, massive attack that sort of thing. they're not overly bassy and tbh if you listen to other stuff for £40 they're very good and actually well made.

The shures aren't too well made imo, i had them replaced 4 times under they're 2 year warrantys...ended up with the e3c for free.

Cheers for the link Tom, looks like they're about £50 with postage which is a fair saving.

Thanks for the replies all :)

I think I'm going to have to stick with the Sennheisers really as, although I want some super-dooper ones, budget is going to be wrecked when I get the 'phone call I'm waiting for from the garage... :S

I've got the shure E3c and they're great. Sound isolation really is the nuts. I can have my ipod on the lowest setting and still not hear anything that's going on around me.

Ive got the new cx 300s with the Iphone jack. I think they sound sound great, and thats from a Grado owner ;)!

Rich b*****d ;) lol

Just ordered the CX300s - £16.99 from amazon preferred seller with free P&P so now I just have to wait for about 2 weeks... lol

Thanks for the advice all!

pmsl you could have ordered it from Play.com and had it within a couple of days for the same price. Great headphones though, got some myself, just make sure you get them nice and snug and with the right size rubbers to get the best out of them.

I've got the CX500s and they are cracking, heard good things about the CX300s as well.

That's a quote and a half ;) :p lol

Anyway, looking forward to getting them!

Annoyingly, though, I then saw some Skullcandy FMJs go on ebay for about £30. Typical... lol

I've had the Sennheiser CX300s for over a year and they are great, take a few weeks to get use to the in-ear setup if you're not used to them. I've heard a few bad things about the build quality of SkullCandy and I think Shure are meant to be decent.
