Which headunit budget arount £100

Car  Williams 2, 182 cup
My sister wants a headunit and has spotted the Sony CDX-GT540UI in halfrauds. She wants a system with the ability to plug in her mp3 player/ipod.

Is the sony the one to go for or what else can people recommend?

I have the 530ui and its awesome, it was free as my cousins car was written off just a few weeks after he bought it and he said i could have it lol, its good as it recognises ipods and lets you control it, so its not just a basic aux in, you should be able to find it online for less then hellfrauds

I would say get a Alpine or Pioneer both well repected brands for car audio. I have a kenwood which i personally thinks quite good. Tbh halfords arnt so bad when it comes to head units have a look in your local and just look for a symbol saying Made for Ipod 75% of the ones they have come with it.

This seems to have good features for the price -

Yep stay away JVC, Sendai and mutant and not to forget Ripspeed.

Alpines are good few good deals on CAD, however i'm actually pretty impressed with my sony, granted i wouldnt of bought it myself, but its doing a great job till i upgrade to an alpine or pioneer
