Which laptop for £4-450?

  Mk2 MX5 1.8iS - Side
I'm not really sure whether I want a laptop or a desktop, but have specced a half decent desktop build for around £400. I'm thinking that I don't really need a desktop any more though.

I don't game (apart from Football Manager), so think I can probably get away with a laptop.

Have seen this one;

Anyone bought a laptop recently or have any suggestions?

I did quite a bit of research when looking for a laptop in that price range. The one I thought to be best was:

17" screen and the new i3 processor were the big upsides to it. In the end I decided not to buy one and keep using the one I've got till I can't use it any more!

Is the i3 processor faster enough to justify 1gb less ram and standalone graphics?

Anyone have any experience of the i3?

The i3 is supposed to be a much quicker processor but I've had no experience. I felt it was worth getting that then upgrading the memory at a later date if I ever felt it was needed. Easy to upgrade memory, than it is a processor!!!
