I don't really use stuff like this, depsite being an IT engineer.
1. Ensure you remove programs properly through Add/Remove programs.
2. Ensure you have AV protection
3. Ensure you DON'T have Norton Internet Security - If Carlsberg made software it would certainly be better than this!
4. Get all your Windows Updates
5. Avoid specific Spyware problems and despite it not being brilliant, use Windows Defender to sort out other probs and you'll be fine.
Never ever EVER had to use a registry cleaner. Most do more harm than good.
