Which sump washer to use?

The one on the right with the rubber O ring, the other one is the copper crush washer for the gearbox.

Cheers, I seem to have ended up with loads of copper ones. Lots of the cars use copper washers so they'd probably still work?

I'd say no, even the rubber one leaks from time to time,
so i'd expect the copper crush one's to drip like a leaky tap,
I could be wrong though as i've never used one on the sump.

Copper washers don't work with cast sumps, as above, go with the rubber item.

Thats what Renault gave me for the 172 when i asked for Engine oil and a washer.

And its not leaked once since I refreshed the oil at the end of july.

As @Diagro said, used one on my MK3 and it was fine for a year didn't leak a drop.
