Whine after track day :(

Car  GSXR + KDX220
Hi guys,
Have been hooning round Snetterton this evening (only an hour of track time including a 20min cool down in the pits ;)

About 15mins I noticed a slight whine when shifting down into 3rd and 2nd....

After leaving the venue, I noticed the whine being a little louder when slowing down, most noticable on overrun in any gear (more obvious in 4th and 5th below 2k rpm).

Its hard to hear higher up the revs, but as soon as I touch the throttle it'll go quieter. Theres no noise when out of gear, with clutch both engaged and disengaged.

What does this point to the most? Gearbox? Bearings? Diff? :dapprove:

The box hand plenty of oil in earlier as I checked it by undoing the butterfly nut, will check it again tomorrow but see no reason for it have exited.

Oh and forgot to mention it still selects all gears, up and down, smoothly with no issues.

Anyone got any clues?
:)

I had this on my first Ph1 after a heavy downshift. One of the bearings on the main gearset had made a bit for freedom.

Hmmm, it does sound like a rough bearing noise, apart from that everything works as it should. I guess its still gonna be a box out job either way?.....brilliant.
