Whine that matches revs?!

  182, SQ7, Trafic
Any ideas, like a screechy wine, comes from belt side of the engine. When higher revs it gets more audible, guessing just a pulley or something?!

Similiar car, sounds like i have a similiar problem, dont hear it inside the car, but audible when standing at the front.

We had this recently on our phase 1 172 it was the roller on the aux belt tensioner.

or idler/tensioner on timing belt, get it checked out! you can check the aux belt easily by taking it off and spinning/wiggling all the pulleys, listen for a dry noise on spinning and look for play on wiggling, either one means its fooked

if its screechy screechy though most likely just needs the aux belt tightened, have a feel it shouldn wiggle much more than quarter of an inch

With the engine running spray WD40 on to each pulley, spindle in turn until the noise goes, then you've found it. May be the belt itself, in which case whatever you spray in that area the noise will go. The WD 40 will burn off in just a few seconds so no harm done.
