Whinning noise when turning, not a bearing!?

Car  Trophy #473
Im sure I have a front O/S wheel bearing going but had a MOT the other day and told them about it but they couldnt find anything wrong... at all. its only when i turn left at speed of sharply, sounds just like a bearing, harder you turn the louder it gets. started a month ago. any other ideas what it could be? engine mount?

If you have lowered it, it could be your wheel rubbing on your wheel arch

there doesnt have to be play in a bearing for it to be noisy, so the mot tester wouldnt have picked it up.

I have a whirring or something when going round roundabouts. It's like road noise, but it gets louder when turning.

I just kinda ignore it, if it's a wheel bearing I will wait till I can hear it all the time lol.

I have a new pair of top mounts but havnt fitted them yet, although i really shouls as they make so much noise even over little bumps. think it will be a process of elimination: new mounts, try spacer washers, wheel bearing. if not then i'll just ignore it till it gets worse.
