I bought this about 9 months ago but wanted to make some progress before posting a thread..
Yes... this is was the supercharged one ;p
Straight Through Stainless Exhaust
Kevlar Clutch
Recon Gearbox
Cambelt + Dephaser Pulley
Aux Belt kit
OMP Steering wheel
Carbon Fibre Engine cover
Phase 1 Airbox CAF, with different elbow pipe
Battery Relocated to the boot
Oz F1 Championship Wheels
Basically i bought it with a broken supercharger, faults galore!, Tatty bodywork, no mot!! a bit brave maybe ;p I had to keep looking past these issues as receipts confirm the typical mechanical faults had been done, including, Cambelt+Dephaser Pulley, Recent Gearbox, Kevlar Clutch. Firstly, i got rid of the supercharger kit, along with the 225 injectors replaced with 172 injectors and remapped it. Got it running okay, put it through a mot which it only failed on a tyre...
Now it was mot'd i started the bodywork which was poor!, Yellow Headlamps, Stones chips, damage to front bumper, Wing mirror taped on, replaced bonnet due to a big hollow dent.. I painted both sides, front bumper and bonnet.
Mot'd, Painted... All good right?.. Nopeee that dreaded LIMP MODE!, Spent ages trying figure out what it was, typical error i went and bought a pedal and throttle body but still limp mode! Started cleaning connections, fuse box etc, . After researching loads about it on the forums, i pretty much put it down to the wiring, i spent ages messing with wires etc creating temporary fixes. But also creating flat spots which would vary daily :/ ...
Once i changed, my gearbox mount and put my ecu back which has been relocated to the upper gearbox mount, it started to run fine, and i noticed that where the loom plug wiring was located changed the sound, idle and drive of the car.. Ive zipped tied this wire up and it has changed everything!.. Power wise its better, feels smoother i dont get this big blip of the throttle on start up it idles bang on now.. Obviously we all know that limp mode may be back,, but for now ive ordered my self up a loom from Renparts.. And ill let you know if i cured it!
Thought youd like this photo of the above PH1 since then ;p
