no its illegal

must be white front and yellow rear unless the car is about 1973 or older (IIRC) when you can have black non reflective plates with silver letters

is it? ano this bird with a 106 gti and she said its ok til mot time and it has to be yellow, hasnt been stopped for it yet. And that was months ago

Probably just been lucky.

It is illegal, its got something to do with glare and reflectivity from the car behind you with their lights.

the law says that the only white light source on the rear of a car can be the reversing light, as the number plates are reflective they are classed as a light source and so having a white number plate on the rear of a car is illegal

i reckon if you know a bird and she says it legal, it must be

if police pull you up just tell them you know a bird, should be fine
