White specs on paint

Hi all. I cleaned, polished and waxed the car at the weekend. Whilst I was washing it i noticed lots of little white specs of dirt, which i had to literally pick off carefully with my thumb nail.

What the hell is this?

Cant be. They wre all over the place and are the size of grains of salt.

dont think its that becuase its only occured the last couple of weeks.

Do you think it could just be salt? I got it on my car when it was orange

When you polished was it with a PC?
Are the marks still on the paintwork after you've picked the white specs off?

Didnt polish with a pc. It was whilst i was drying the car after her wash that i noticed the white specs. I picked some off but there were too many.

Luckily almost all of it came off when i polished the paint.
