Whiteline anti roll bar

  Renault Clio 1.6
Hi All,

I have searched for other questions regarding this but can't find any!

I have just purchased a whiteline anti roll bar the clio 182 and was wondering what the best fitting it for general Road use as I won't be using it for track. As there are only 2 fitting holes would I want to use the end ones or the other ones?

Thanks :)

Well it's easy enough to swap isn't it? I'm getting it fitted by a garage that's doing my service so just wanted them to set it up but all the instructions say the end one is hard and the inner is soft! It's mixed what setting to have it on but I don't want it to drive crazy haha

Well the holes aren't that far from each other as it's only a 2 holed version. I see why people would say that, I have seen a 3 holed version and that would make a difference.

I have mine on the end ones (soft) and it'll lift-off oversteer/get the back end out in the wet on roundabouts.

That's spirited driving though. Normal conditions you don't notice it much really.

So would you recommend the soft setting then or do you think from experience the harder setting would be better :)? Thanks

To be honest they're pretty pointless for road use as you're not pushing the car.

But seeing as you've already bought one, then either setting will be fine.

Go for hard (the inner holes).

Ok thanks for the info :) appreciate it! I'll go for hard like you said, can you recommend any other ways I can improve the driving experience of the clio, it's a cup so it's pretty harsh but I wanted to make it smoother if possible :)

i forsee a for sale thread for one whiteline arb, hardly used:wink:

Haha! Well it's fitted now and I have tested it and the verdict is in! It makes the car seem alot more solid and the steering tighter I generally think it has made the car feel better as before it didn't have great balance. Will be keeping it for sure :)
