Who’s 18 with 1 year NCB........

......and insured on a 1.8 16v, without pass plus?

I am just wanting to see if its possible for me to get insured on one, Ive rang round for a few qoutes but theyve been like 2000 tpft!

So could I just ask,

How much is it?

And what insurance company are u with?

Cheers Danny

ive been getting quotes, i wil be just 19 when i take the policy out, with 1yrs ncb and no pass plus! got £950 with elephant

Thats good.

I found the difference in quotes I was getting was a lot different from when I was 18 to 19.. its like the "2 year driving experience".

I think the experience counts for more than NCD!

Ive got 1 years NCB, have a 1.2 atm, but got a quote on a new 172 for a laugh, elephant were the only ones that woudl give me an online quote.

£2500 3rd party, £3880, fully comp.

Speak to Craig, i think hes about 19, andhas a valver

Hehe.

Elephant were one of the few who quoted me on a Williams - and finally got my money. They were the cheapest (Helped they do the Bonus Accelerator tho!) by £40 to Admiral.. and the rest were just silly high.

gota be careful with the 10mth bonus accelerators quotes because when you come to renew your insurace, not alot of insurance companies accept them as a years ncb, so you end up having to renew with your current insurance holder and thats where they can sting ya on your renewal. I wouldnt personally choose them and go with a normal 12mth policy as its gonna save you money on the long run anyway.

cheers lads, I think Ill get saving then and wait till next year when Im 19 with a possible 2 years NCB!

Daz- how is the williams are u insured on that now, whats it like?

Its *mint*.

You cant explain it.. you have to drive one for yaself.. it just feels, "special" somehow.. its like, you dont know why it is.. but it is.. hehe.

Feels so different to my 1.2.. Handling, Performance, the lot.. hehe.

I think its worth the silly insurance, higher road tax etc.. hehe.

Because I need a car.. so selling the 1.2.. then hoping a Williams comes along quick is madness.. hehe.

I NEARLY DID have 1 years no claims (and im 18) but on the day before i had been driving 1 year i wrote my car off. Great!

unlucky fella! Well maybe it just wasnt meant to be hey!

Well Ive driven Martin S williams and its mint, but its just insurance fella!

Cheers.

I was told by admiral that the 10 month policies of theirs count as one year, full stop. So when you go to another company they send proof of that years claim free, hence they just say 1 year they dont specify it was a 10 month policy.

Can someone confirm wether this is true or not?

When I moved insurance companies I had no problems with the 10 month policy. Counted it as full year.

so would it be better to keep taking out 10 month policies? or is there some kind of catch?

its the insurance company, say Admiral that award you with the no claims, so when it comes to renew they fax proof of your no claims onto another company. Cant see there been a problem at all.

The only catch is with a 10 month policy, your renewal comes round 2 months quicker every year so may not be as much good to someone with decent no claims.
