Who can map ITB on standard managment

  Ph2 172
Im looking to get ITB fitted to the clio in the next few weeks, but want to stay with the standard managment for now, ive had a search about but not come up with any possitive anwsers as to who can map them on standard managment, any help much appreciated

Map it so it runs ok but not great?
RS Tuning have done one, but you cant use a normal TB setup, you need to be adding in a map sensor with balance pipes between them.
Be prepared for it to cost you a lot too.

Map it so it works properly like an aftermarket setup?
No one as a speed density based fuelling algorythm is just totally unsuited to a throttle body application

I rang Paul about this and was recommended against it as he said they don't run well with ITB's on standard management.

I know Paul @ RS tuning mapped Russ16v's car on standard ECU/ITB's.

Yep, was a phase 1 though, and this lad has a phase 2, which obviously makes the hardware side of it much harder as he will need to get the the standard electronic throttle working to operate the ITBs mechanically speaking or fool the ECU electronically if using a cable.

D4rren, what is your reason for wanting to keep the original ECU?

If its cost, then as you obviously cant do the work yourself (or you wouldnt be asking who could) then I suspect you are in for a shock if you do down this route.

Just buy an RS2 if you want half the benefits of ITBs with only a couple of percent of the hassles and with the ability to easily remove and get almost all your money back when selling the car on later on.

Cost is not to much of a worry to be honest i was asking more so as i was unsure as to weather it could be do properly, if not ill will take a look at going down the route of stand alone, this is all fairy new to me as far as managment goes, so any advise would be great

If you want ITBs then go standalone, thats the only sensible advice anyone will give you TBH.

Thanks Chip, is there any specific managment to use or is it personal prefrence with regards to the mapper? is there any that you would advice to steer clear from? ive been searching the BAY, i personally only know of people that map Greddy.

For a simple ITB application pretty much any aftermarket will cope just fine, Ive mapped similar on everything from 150 quid of megasquirt to 1500 quid of autronic and it really doesnt matter at all in terms of actual power and power delivery.

Personally I like to try and avoid emerald, ive mapped a couple of dozen cars on it now and got decent enough results, so its not like it doesnt work, on it now but I really hate the interface and anything you do just ends up taking longer than it does on other ecus, although that said if you take it to Dave Walker to map, he will do a really good job for sensible money, so if you arent ever going to map it yourself you dont need to care about the shakey interface.

I normally recomend people buy either Omex 600 or Mtech V4 at the moment for cheaper builds as they are both at the budget end of the market but work very well, I prefer the interface a little on the Mtech and I can get them for a better price and they work really well with the standard renault crank sensor which the Omex doesnt like, so that would be my personal preference for an F4R budget ITB build but there really isnt much between them TBH, and certainly Porkies which I mapped on Omex works very well:

Omex has more people familiar with mapping it, so if you arent going to map it yourself, on that basis it would make more sense to go for Omex, unless you already have a mapper in mind, in which case just ask them what they would prefer to use.

I have all of Russ's old kit in my garage in boxes and I've even got the mapped ECU somewhere as well. One day I'll get round to fitting it all. It made decent power an ran ok.
