Who has fitted their own changer in 182

  Golf Mk6 Oil Burner

Just wondering....

a. is it a ball ache to do?

b. what make and model changer have you used?

c. do you need any additional leads?

d. does the changer (b) work fine with the standard display?

Hope someone can help.

Cheers

I took the old unit out of my 172 and installed it in the same place in the 182. It cost me £86 for the cable from Renault and ten minutes to fit. Very easy to do.

Cheers mate, think you may have a point. But happens to the display at the top? .. does it just show outside temp and thats it once you change the hu?

Still would like to know more info about the changer situation though.

The display reverts back to time and temp.

BUT! the display/stalk interface is now out for that unit.

You can even black out the radio display and have the std one on byitself

dont any of you get annoyed with the gaps in between tracks, especially listening to mix cds with mp3s?????
cd changers take longer to swap cds

the phone holder is held on by velcro.
