Who needs brake pads?

Awsome. So, my pads were getting a bit low, immediately ordered a set of brembo standard discs and Ferodo DS Performance pads to replace them 3-4 weeks ago. Brembo's arrived within about a week, i expected the pads to be here in similar time as they were supposedly in stock at venom motorsport.

My driver side front disc is warped and gradually has eaten away at the pads more than the passenger side, but plenty of time to get them fitted, about 2 weeks worth of use i thought.

Here i am almost 4 weeks since recieving reciept, no pads STILL. My car is covered in rust particles, my sills have PILES of f**king rusting metal all over them even thanks to my pad being metal on metal.

About to set off to gf's house, turn round in the drive way and my brake pedal goes further than normal, I get out and check whats wrong and theres my brake pad sat inside my alloy wheel. Great.

Epic... Fail. Might ring Venom and ask for a refund and just brave the shitty renault pads, not sure itll be their failt, more the supplier's.

I asked where they were 2 weeks ago and they said they "spoke to supplier and they should be here mid next week" Mid next week was over a week ago now.

should have got them off fred, at least you would ahve got a straight answer off him if they were going to take a month....
get a refund if you can, and stick some cheap halfords ones in so you can at least drive the thing....just dont drive like a loon!!

im getting some genuine renault pads if they arent going to arrive any time soon as a friend can get me them at trade price within hours. Ill ask fred and see what he can do for me.

Ill get the rust off no problem.

oh and uneven padwear wont be a warped disk, you likely have a seized or parly seized caliper

I did ffs. 28th September i made the order, supposed to have had them within 3 days. not a f**king month. Ive had to use my car and taken it easy.

Just rang Venom Motorsport 15 mins ago they said theyd ring back in 5 mins. Their willingness to communicate is pretty non existant i think. I know its not their fault and ive told them that but f**k me. I need to get some standard pads asap just so i can use my car. I know ive been stupid but i honestly thought id have new pads and new brakes fitted well before this moment in time.

Have you heard of places call Motor factors and Main Dealers. Apparantly you can walk in pay yer money and walk out with the pads all within 5mins. Ordering stuff on the WW web takes time.

Really? Never knew that. Considering it wasnt genuine renault i was after, i couldnt find anyone within my local area that stocked the pads i wanted. Ive been told i can expect the pads for wednesday....

i'm a greenstuff fan, they've lasted 32k and a track day, i'd say still 50% left to.
