***WHO PIAD FOR THEIR CAR***

i paid for my car (proud of it) which was 5k for a 1.2rn clio wen i was 17. together with insurance being £1000 a yr

id like to kno, mainly to the younger people with more powerful cars, who actually handed over the cash for it? cos i read that lots of people have 172s for example r young. also who pays for ur insurance?

cheers

Jay

I pay for my own car, but didnt buy it outright (bank loan). I also pay for my insurance. Who else would pay it?! Can you give me their name?

u dont appreciate what you havent earned,

i paid for it all myself! my mum and dad dont have jack!

im 22 and drive a nice 1.4 rt (cough cough) ok its a 1.4gtturbo clio and i paid that the insurance and the mods etc etc. No bank loan just hard earned cash. And it wasnt cheap

Im 19 and have earned every penny that has gone on my valver. Buying it, insuring it, running it, modding it!

Ive had to get a 2nd job so I can afford to keep modding it at the rate Im going.

In the year Ive owned it I have spent probably around £10K:eek:

im 18, got my 1.6 16v a year ago, mum paid n im paying her back monthly, same with insurance (which is alot!!)

spent about 4k on it since i bought it, i paid for all of that

I got my current car for my 18th from my parents, my 172 cup shud arrive in a weeks time. I get to keep the money from my car £5500 for the deposit n the rest is on finance. Insurance is off in my dads name as im only 19!

Ive just turned 21 and had my 172 for 5 months now. I paid for it icluding the insurance @ £1500!!!

Have to say, worth paying for it in the end! ;)

Ill be 21 next month, still live at home, and just bought a Williams. I paid for it myself (well, took a loan), and the insurance (painful) was paid for with the remainder of the cash I borrowed.. Ill be funding it again when its up for renewal..

young people have more disposable income than ever so its not that surprising that 20 year olds can get a 172. Good luck to em I say. If youve got a nice motor at least its keeping the youfs off the streets and there not on crack or summat.

I bought mine on finance! (renault clio 1.2 16v billabong) but paid for my first two cars outright! (106 quiksilver & suzuki Vitara) & im 19.

oh yeah? well done sherlock... its usually the young people that still live at home coz they aint old enough or got the experience for good full time job to move out. lol. Funny that?
& disposable income rocks.

I payed my for my car this year when i was 17 (now 18).

(Jreg) 1992 1.4 Fidji, - £1200
Payed for all my driving lessons - £455
My theory and practical test - £63
My Insurance - £1680 (fully comp + in my own name)
My ICE - £1600
My interior - £600ish
My Exhaust - £100

All payed for on my own with 1 full time job. Worked as much overtime as i could to buy/pay for everything myself :)

Makes me feel proud cos i can say yeah its mine. All mine!

i bought all my cars myself, so far ive had a mk2 escort, pug 106, and now onto a mk1 MR2 (hmm why am i a member on a clio forum again? lol)

in fact, my parents who have bought both my previous cars off me still havent paid for either of them! lol

and i just turned 19 today :D

so i guess that means ive paid for all 3 with no returns as of yet, my parents paid my first year of insurance tho! but i had to pay the tax and stuff

got the MR2 on a loan, altho i couldve afforded it outright, but i got a big loan ready to buy a newer car before i changed my mind and ended up spedning about a 6th of what i have in loan lol!

hmm... 4Gs can get me a superchargerd engine!!!

  silver valver/hybrid

i paid for my first car outright nissan micra £900, insurance dad paid it i paid it back within 2 months, not too bad as i was only earning £57 a week (apprentaship) + paid for my own driving lessons etc. second car still on the apprentaship, earning £90 a week now (wohoo) so took a loan out and bought an rt for 5k. after 18months needed more power so i then spent about 3 months working 60+ hours a week to save enough money to buy the valver! now i have no loan, no debts, a valver and money to spare. oh and just after i bought the valver i got made redundant, got another job but a lot less money.

MITSI My dad died a while back and yes i live at home with my mum, dont make asumptions that because younger people live at home thats why they have expensive cars because its not always the case.

i pay for what i have because i work bl**y hard for what ive got, if you have nothing relevent to the topic to say dont post

clare

I paid for everything myself, insurance, lessons, car. And thats on a student budget with a part-time job!!!
