Why are my Settings resetting

Right just changed my headunit from Sony to Sony. My old one used to save all settings but this new one resets everytime the Ignition is terned off. Whys this?

cos you wired it up wrong!!!

go back and sort it out (yellow and red wires)

Yeah but all i did was unplug the old and plug in the new. Surely its the same wiring?

Well obviously not.

some of the sonys come pre configured the other way.

A friend of mine has the same problem... Not only does it reset itself, but it also ejects the CD when switching on. Hers is a kenwood / P reg corsa.

Yep mine ejects the CD too!

Yes just swap the constant power with the ignition power !! Most likely YELLOW AND RED !!

it should definitely tell you what wires it is in the instructions, the constant power appears not to be present, hence why you are not getting anything...

As said already it the permenant and ignition live wires round the wrong way, the reason it ejects the cd is the unit is initialising and resetting itself when power is restored!
