Why does it always rain on me (Trophy)

With all race cars being in the capable hands of other people this weekend decided to drag the Trophy out from where I've been hiding it. Plan was to give it a good clean inside and out and do a few jobs. No sooner had I washed it, it chucked it down!

Had also planned to fit my new Scorpian 192 exhaust. Removed the old one.

And realised some monkey has (badly) modified the cat.

So the exhaust is sat here all shiny but will have to wait.

Guess I'll give under the bonnet a decent clean back in the garage.

It is gallys old one, I bought it off my mate Adam who has had it for 3 years. He bought it from @Chi in part ex for my old black R26 that Adam bought from me! It's #321, my previous trophy was #323.

Did it still have that big exhaust on it? I could never figure out what make it was.

It had a yozza on that I let the previous owner keep, I have a mint oe back box I just can't find a decent or centre so just went for a silenced Scorpian.

Got it scrubbed up under the bonnet. Happy with all the paint, plastics tanks and pipes it's just the alloy bits that look grubby. Any tips short of painting them or having them vapour blasted maybe.

Try a brass wire brush on the aluminium parts if they're not stained. If its only oxidised Race Glaze make a decent cleaner too.
